About Idaho Disaster

Idaho Disaster has served Meridian since 2026. Meet our IICRC-certified restoration team. Licensed, insured, locally owned.

Idaho Disaster started in 2026, built around a simple idea: water, fire, and storm damage don’t wait for business hours, and the people dealing with it shouldn’t have to wait for help either. Restoration became the focus because it’s work that actually matters in the moment it’s needed, a pipe bursts at 2 a.m., a storm takes a chunk of roof off, a sump pump fails while a family is out of town, and someone has to show up and start solving the problem before it gets worse.

What we do

The day-to-day of this work doesn’t look like a sales pitch. It looks like being on call around the clock, because water and fire damage don’t follow a schedule. It looks like walking into a house on the worst day of someone’s year, a flooded basement, a kitchen full of smoke damage, a ceiling sagging from a slow leak nobody noticed until it wasn’t slow anymore, and figuring out fast what’s salvageable and what isn’t. It also means sitting across from an insurance adjuster’s paperwork as often as we’re running drying equipment, documenting moisture readings, photographing damage, and writing up scope so a homeowner isn’t left to decode claims language on top of everything else. Nobody calls a restoration company because things are going well. The job is to bring calm and a clear process to a situation that feels anything but calm.

Our certifications and licensure

Our technicians hold IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD). The IICRC, the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, sets the technical standards the restoration industry works from: how to classify water loss categories, how to measure moisture in framing and drywall, when a structure has actually reached dry standard versus just looking dry on the surface. Those standards aren’t paperwork for its own sake. They’re the difference between a job that’s truly finished and one where hidden moisture turns into a mold problem a few weeks later. Holding these certifications means our crews are trained to that standard on every water and drying job we take on.

Where we work

Idaho Disaster works across the Treasure Valley, Meridian, Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Garden City, and Middleton. It’s a region with a real mix of housing stock, older homes in Boise’s established neighborhoods with plumbing that’s had decades to wear down, and newer construction further out in Meridian and Star where growth has been fast. That range matters when you’re dealing with water intrusion or fire damage, because a 1960s slab foundation and a home built five years ago fail in different ways and dry out differently too. We stay focused on this part of Idaho rather than spreading thin across the state, because knowing the area’s building patterns and climate is part of doing the job right.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long has Idaho Disaster been in business?
Idaho Disaster was founded in 2026. We're a newer company, but our technicians carry IICRC certifications in water restoration and structural drying, so the technical training behind the work isn't new even if the business name is.
What areas does Idaho Disaster serve?
We work throughout the Treasure Valley, including Meridian, Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Garden City, and Middleton. We don't take jobs outside this area so we can respond quickly and know the local housing stock well.
What certifications do your technicians hold?
Our technicians are IICRC certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD). These certifications cover how to properly classify water losses and verify a structure has actually reached a dry standard, not just dry on the surface.
Who runs Idaho Disaster?
Idaho Disaster is a locally focused restoration company built around technicians trained to IICRC standards. We're structured around hands-on response rather than a large corporate hierarchy, so the people answering the phone are tied directly to the crews doing the work.
