We also use basic website analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which pages are helpful, and where people run into trouble. This analytics data is typically aggregated and doesn’t identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, schedule an on-site estimate, and prepare documentation that may be needed for insurance claims related to water, fire, storm, mold, or other property damage. If you’re working with an insurance carrier, we may use your contact and property details to coordinate scope of work, scheduling, and paperwork tied to your claim. We don’t use your information for purposes unrelated to the service you requested.

How We Share Your Information

We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share details with outside parties only when necessary to perform the work you’ve requested, such as passing along documentation to your insurance adjuster or carrier with your authorization, or working with a subcontractor on a specific job. We may also disclose information if required by law or to comply with a valid legal request.

Text Messaging and Mobile Information

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, Idaho Disaster may text you about your service request or project: appointment scheduling and reminders, technician arrival times, job updates, follow-ups after the job, and a request to review our work. Mobile information is never shared. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties. Idaho Disaster collects your mobile number and your text opt-in consent (including when and how you gave it) only to send the messages you agreed to receive and to honor opt-out requests.

Data Retention

We keep project records, including contact information and job documentation, for as long as reasonably necessary to support warranty claims, insurance follow-up, and our own recordkeeping obligations as a licensed contractor in Idaho. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to remove or de-identify it.

Your Rights

If you’re a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we’ve collected about you, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we don’t sell personal information, so this doesn’t apply in practice). Because Idaho Disaster operates only within Idaho and does not direct services to individuals in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) generally does not apply to our operations, but we’re happy to address reasonable privacy requests from any visitor.
