Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Idaho Disaster wants every visitor, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology, to be able to find our contact information and learn about our water, fire, storm, and mold restoration services without unnecessary barriers. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix, and we review our site periodically to identify and correct issues as they come up.
Standards We Work Toward
We aim to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That means paying attention to things like color contrast, text resizing, logical heading structure, descriptive link text, and keyboard-only navigation. Our pages are built with semantic HTML so that screen readers can interpret headings, forms, and navigation menus in a sensible order. We also test core pages, such as our contact form and service pages, to confirm they remain usable when images fail to load or when a visitor is navigating by keyboard alone.
Known Limitations
No website is perfect, and ours is no exception. Third-party embeds, such as maps or scheduling widgets, are not always built to the same standard we hold our own pages to, and older content may not yet reflect our current accessibility practices. If you run into a page, form, or feature that does not work the way you expect with your assistive technology, we want to know about it so we can fix it.
How to Report an Issue
If you experience difficulty accessing any part of idahodisaster.com, or if you need information from this site in an alternate format, please reach out directly. You can call us at (208) 713-3346 or email trucknelson@gmail.com. When you contact us, it helps to include the page URL, a brief description of the problem, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, though we will work with whatever detail you can provide.
Our Response
We treat accessibility reports seriously and will acknowledge your message and look into the issue within a reasonable window, generally a few business days. Depending on the nature of the problem, some fixes may be immediate while others, such as changes to site structure or third-party tools, may take longer to resolve. We will keep you informed of our progress if the fix is not immediate.
Ongoing Effort
As Idaho Disaster adds new pages covering our restoration, reconstruction, and remediation services across the Meridian, Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Star, and Garden City areas, we intend to apply the same accessibility review to new content before and after it goes live. If you have suggestions beyond a specific bug, such as a feature that would make the site easier to use with your particular setup, we welcome that feedback too. Accessibility improvements are part of how we maintain this site going forward, not a project with a fixed end date.
